We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Cardiovascular Sonography Program Director to lead and grow our CVS program. In this role, you'll use your clinical knowledge and leadership skills to guide students, support faculty, and make sure our program stays top-notch and compliant with all accrediting and regulatory standards. You'll be responsible for keeping our curriculum current, supporting instructors, overseeing the program’s operations, and helping students succeed—from their first class to their first job.
Lead and manage all aspects of the Cardiovascular Sonography program
Work closely with faculty to ensure courses are up to date and meet accreditation standards
Support and supervise instructors, including reviewing lesson plans and providing guidance
Help choose new instructional staff and take part in hiring decisions
Keep an eye on program outcomes like completion rates and job placements
Stay in touch with students—help with advising, orientation, and even admissions interviews when needed
Organize and run program advisory board meetings
Review feedback from students, graduates, and employers to keep improving the program
Help plan annual start dates and support with scheduling
Make sure we’re meeting state, federal, and accrediting body regulations
Pitch in with new program development and campus events
Assist the Director of Education and registrar as needed
Handle other tasks that come up in a fast-paced academic setting
Bachelor’s degree Required and Possesses three years of practical experience in the program field.
Current registry, license, or certification in at least one cardiovascular specialty (as required by accrediting bodies)
c. Has teaching experience.
A professional but approachable demeanor—you’ll be a role model for students and faculty
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage time well and meet deadlines
Demonstrates academic and experiential background in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography
profession.
Possesses a current registration/credential from a nationally recognized sonography
