Assistant Director of Education

Department: 600-0000 General Education
Location: Houston, TX

Assistant Director of Education (ADOE)

Shifts:

  • 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Education (ADOE) at The College of Health Care Professions plays a key role in shaping the academic experience for our students and faculty. Working closely with the Director of Education (DOE), the ADOE helps coordinate and manage instructional policies, programs, and faculty development, ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment and is passionate about the healthcare education field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and execution of instructional policies, programs, and faculty development initiatives at The College of Health Care Professions.

  • Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum design and educational delivery to meet the needs of our healthcare students.

  • Analyze academic and student performance data to identify trends and implement solutions.

  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for faculty to ensure top-tier educational delivery.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the academic team, ensuring smooth program implementation and regulatory compliance with The College of Health Care Professions' standards.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (business, regulatory, and academic personnel) to support The College of Health Care Professions' mission and goals.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing diverse teams in an educational setting.

  • Ability to analyze data and implement effective solutions to academic challenges.

  • Proficient in educational management software and tools (e.g., student management systems, data analysis software).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • At least 2 years of experience in academic management, advising, or teaching in a healthcare education setting.

  • Experience with student management systems (e.g., [list any specific systems used]).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and industry best practices in healthcare education.

  • Strong business acumen and experience in analyzing fiscal and academic performance data.
