The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a Corporate Director of Surgical Technology to lead and oversee all Surgical Technology programs across our network of campuses. This role is responsible for driving program excellence, compliance, student outcomes, and accreditation readiness.
As a key member of our Academic Affairs leadership team, you will ensure alignment with CAAHEP and ARC/STSA standards, foster faculty development, and maintain consistency in curriculum delivery and clinical experiences. You will also serve as the primary liaison to accrediting agencies and clinical partners.
Provide leadership and strategic oversight of all Surgical Technology programs institution-wide
Ensure program compliance with CAAHEP and ARC/STSA accreditation standards and regulatory requirements
Lead curriculum standardization, development, and improvement efforts
Support the recruitment, training, and development of Program Directors and faculty
Monitor program metrics including certification exam pass rates (target >70%), retention, and placement
Oversee program budgets, resources, and equipment needs
Coordinate accreditation self-studies, site visits, and evaluations
Foster strong partnerships with clinical affiliates for student placement
Assist with launching new campuses and programs
Serve as the liaison with external accrediting and professional organizations
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Healthcare Administration, Education, or Allied Health)
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential (NBSTSA) required
5+ years of Surgical Technology experience, with at least 3 years in academic leadership
Prior experience managing CAAHEP-accredited programs and working with ARC/STSA standards
Multi-campus or corporate academic oversight experience is strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry
Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities
Skilled in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities across geographically diverse campuses
Proficient in academic assessment, reporting, and faculty development
Adaptable and collaborative with a student-centered mindset
