The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a Medical Coding and Billing Instructor to join our instructional team. This role is ideal for a knowledgeable professional who enjoys mentoring students and delivering engaging, career-focused education.
No teaching experience? No problem — we provide training!
Teach core courses in the Medical Coding and Billing program
Deliver engaging instruction in classroom, lab, and online settings
Utilize EHR and billing software systems as part of instruction
Mentor and support students to promote retention, certification readiness, and externship success
Create and maintain a positive, professional learning environment
Certification in Medical Coding and/or Billing or related healthcare credential
3–5 years of medical coding and billing experience
CPR certification — preferred
Knowledge of EHR and billing software systems
Strong communication and mentoring skills
Teaching experience not required — training provided
